- Visual container improvements
- In May of 2023, Power BI made updates to visual containers including subtitles and spacing. These updates allowed us to redesign a significant portion of our Toolkit using fewer components. This improved the performance of our toolkit by 35%, improved accessibility, and improved keyboard navigation.
- Eliminated unnecessary components on over 90 different visualizations and templates
- Added over 30 new design variations for our customers to choose from
- Added a blog article to help our users understand how to leverage the new Power BI updates
- Added gantt charts as part of the Toolkit!
- The Toolkit now includes 2 different gantt chart visualizations. These visualizations are built using Microsoft’s free gantt chart plugin. To use the new visualizations, you simply have to add the plugin to your Power BI instance.
- Gantt charts are a powerful tool to plan complex projects, determine project dependencies, and monitor the progress of a project over time. They help visualize work completed over a period of time in comparison to the time planned for the work. Our gantt charts are expertly designed and include start and end dates, milestones, tooltips, task hierarchies, and more.
- Added small multiples designs as part of the Toolkit!
- The Toolkit now includes 7 small multiples visualizations.
- Small multiples are incredibly powerful for visualizing multiple categories of data. They eliminate the need to create a large number of visualizations across many pages or lengthy tables. Instead, you can easily compare multiple categories in one view to get fast insights.
- Created a series of new video tutorials to help all Numerro + Power BI users level up their design skills

- Added image gallery templates as a part of the Toolkit!
- The toolkit now includes 4 new report templates. These gallery templates combine powerful image filters with tables and multi-row cards to create a beautiful report that showcases images.
- Perhaps you need to create a report based on ranking stores by their cleanliness score, or that shows users images they've captured for safety procedures in the field, or that displays receipts of invoices that have been processed. All of these + more are great use cases for our new gallery templates.
- Each of these templates are mobile optimized so that users can easily consume images on the go!
- Added 2 new visualizations that allow users to filter the same visual by different time periods such as Day, Week, Month, Quarter, and Year.
- Numerro's line + area charts now have advanced filtering capabilities so that users can view the data by varying time periods and the data will scale accordingly with a dynamic horizontal axis.
- Added 2 new visualizations with conditional formatting on data labels.
- This design is not recommended by default, but can be useful to draw users' attention in certain scenarios. Perhaps you have a chart is displaying revenue over time. It may be helpful to use conditional formatting to show when the revenue has exceeded the company's revenue plan (green/positive), and when the company has underperformed against plan (red/negative).
- Available on both line + area charts to allow consumers of the report to quickly & easily identify key trends and outliers.
